Our Coaches

  • Martin Gaeta

Martin is a certified USA boxing coach. His experience in boxing began at the age of 14 after his father introduced him to the sport. He runs a traditional boxing class and believes in hard work. You don’t have to get in the ring, or bench 350, but you can’t be a wimp.

Martin owns and operates Braxton’s with his wife Katelyn and their two children (who you’ll see wandering around the gym).

  • Julian Cruz

At the age of 23, Julian embarked on his boxing journey. After a year of intense training, he took his first step into the ring as an amateur fighter. 14 matches later he was ready to take his boxing career to the next level. He transitioned to the professional ranks, where he fought in seven professional bouts.

In 2016, he began instructing aspiring boxers at his local gym. With a deep understanding of both the technical and physical aspects of boxing, Julian guides students to unlock their full potential. In addition to boxing, he is well-versed in resistance training, utilizing both bodyweight exercises and weightlifting techniques. His comprehensive approach to fitness ensures that clients not only develop their boxing skills but also achieve overall strength, endurance, and conditioning. He is available for personal training and group classes.

  • Katelyn Gaeta

“No, no, no, no I don’t box. I dance,” was the response Katelyn gave to the first 10 invitations to class. Finally her resolve broke down and she attended her initial Braxton’s boxing class in 2019. The class, the coach, and the atmosphere of members kept her coming back. Now she’s in it to win it.

A lifetime of classical dance training gave her the discipline and understanding of body mechanics to transition easily into the sport and strength training. She loves her growing family, Braxton’s Combat Sports, Shakespeare and disco. Katelyn is available for personal training, nutritional counseling, and prenatal strength coaching.

Katelyn runs and operates Braxton’s with her husband Martin and their two children (who you’ll see wandering around the gym).
